Maintenance Electrician
Location: Ilkeston 
Industry: Heavy (Quarry, Aggregates and Brick Manufacturing)
Starting Salary: £47,700 p/a
Working hours: Days Monday to Friday W1: 5:30am-2:30pm / W2: 2:30pm-10:30pm 
Benefit package: Good overtime at X1.3, X1.5 & X2 Pay, 28 Days Holiday including bank holidays, 8% pension, PPE & Tools provided. 

The Business

Auxtronic is partnered with a 20+ year established heavy industry manufacturer that specialises in producing over a million tonnes of recycled aggregates annually. 

Placing in the SME Fast Track 100 company awards with a growth of 40% on sales from 2017-2019, their workforce of 80 strong all contribute to an impressive turnover of £15m.

The Engineering team consists of around 20 highly experienced people, they have both Mechanically biased and Electrical biased engineers during the day shifts and operate a pair system for breakdowns.

Role: Day shift Maintenance Electrician

• Electrical breakdown maintenance, repairing a wide range of production machinery including conveyor lines, packaging machines, pallet wrappers, kilns, trommels.

• Electrical fault finding using Multi-Meters and Schematics, replacing and repairing components.

• PPM Maintenance, carrying out routine inspections and servicing worn parts.

• Project work - Installation of machinery, control panel wiring, site facilities enhancements.

Entry requirements:

• Experience: 5 Years minimum as a Electrical Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Electrician preferrably within the heavy industry.

• Preferred industry experience includes: Recycling, Brick manufacturing, Aggregates, Quarrying, Mining/Coal boards and foundries.

• Apprenticeship trained with a City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ level 3 qualification in electrical maintenance or installation.
