M2 Partnership is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join one of our clients growing team as a Senior Design Analyst. In this role, you will provide essential support to the team, contributing to various day-to-day tasks and projects. Your responsibilities will include conducting due diligence, applying the principles of Daylight, Sunlight, and Rights of Light, performing site surveys, creating CAD-compliant plans and photos, generating high-quality plots and presentation materials, developing three-dimensional models of buildings and surroundings, running analyses using specialized software, advising on timescales and budgets, collaborating with professionals, and demonstrating technical expertise in meetings. As part of your growth within the company, you will receive training in Rights of Light, Daylight, and Sunlight matters.

The Daylight Department comprises a diverse and dynamic international team with backgrounds in surveying, legal, building engineering, architecture, physics, and environmental science. Their department plays a crucial role in optimizing the development potential and daylight and sunlight performance of sites to support London's densification. Through a combination of technical expertise and client-focused work, Our client assist developers and architects throughout the design process, from the initial stages to planning determination and beyond. They are proud to be the leading team in the UK for Daylight, Sunlight, and Rights of Light, setting industry standards and pushing the boundaries through internal research projects and in-house software development.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Perform due diligence tasks as required.
  • Learn and apply the principles of Daylight, Sunlight, and Rights of Light.
  • Conduct site surveys and ensure compliance with CAD requirements for plans and photos.
  • Generate high-quality plots and presentation materials.
  • Create three-dimensional models of buildings and surroundings for their Surveyors and clients.
  • Efficiently analyse data and compile results using specialized software.
  • Advise Surveyors on project timescales, budgets, and changes.

What you Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building Surveying, Building Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of architectural drawings and the built environment.
  • Proficient in 3D modelling.
  • Interest in environmental design, particularly in daylight and sunlight.
  • Hardworking and proactive attitude with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and manage risk in challenging circumstances.
  • Strong desire to provide exceptional care to clients and colleagues.
  • Based in the UK with easy access to the London office or willing to relocate.
