What You'll Do:

You will be a key figure in the development of automotive electrical components, driving their lifecycle from conception to integration. This crucial role will involve collaborating closely with suppliers and delineating the component specs. Bridging the gap between suppliers and project teams will be a significant part of your responsibility, ensuring the quality and punctuality of deliverables. Immersing yourself in systems engineering principles, you'll be pivotal in the evolution and integration of components.

Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of electrical component integration.
• Collaborate intimately with the technical systems delivery team and customer stakeholders.
• Define testing methodologies ensuring the alignment of electrical components with customer requirements.
• Serve as the key link between suppliers and project teams, upholding standards of quality and time.
• Engage deeply with systems engineering principles in the advancement and integration of components.
• Regularly update the JIRA system for optimized project tracking, risk evaluation, and issues management.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Proficiency in hardware specification, requirements capture/management and managing suppliers
• Proficiency with Microsoft packages
• Excellent trouble shooting skills
• Detailed hardware analysis and rewview with suppliers
• Management of suppliers to deliver ECUs/Components against project deliverables

It Would Be An Asset If You Also Have:

• Knowledge of CAN communication and familiarity with tools such as CANalyser/CANoe (or similar)
• Previous experience of working within an automotive/manufacturing/industrial environment
• Specific areas of interest (e.g. EMC, hardware functional safety, connectivity or UI design etc)
• Experience with PREEvision
• Experience with MATLAB

Skills To Excel In This Role:

• Profound knowledge of Electrical/Electronic systems down to the component intricacies.
• Proven proficiency in system test verification strategies.
• Demonstrable experience spanning the entire lifecycle of a component, coupled with the aptitude to liaise effectively both internally and across organizations.
