Job Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Children's Home Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our children's home, ensuring the well-being and development of the children in our care. The Children's Home Manager will play a key role in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for all residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:Provide strong leadership to the staff team, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment. Manage and supervise staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management. Ensure that the children's home operates in compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.

Residential Care:Oversee the care and support provided to children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Develop and implement care plans, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated. Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders.

Safety and Welfare:Maintain a safe and secure environment for children, identifying and addressing any potential risks. Respond effectively to any safeguarding concerns, following established protocols and procedures. Ensure that health and safety standards are adhered to at all times.

Administration and Reporting:Maintain accurate records and documentation, including care plans, incident reports, and staff records. Prepare regular reports for senior management and relevant authorities. Participate in inspections and audits, working to continuously improve the quality of care provided.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial role within a residential children's home.

  • Relevant qualification in social work, childcare, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of current legislation and regulations pertaining to residential childcare.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and external partners.
