We are currently looking for a Factory Labourer/Operative to work in a busy company in Westerhope, Newcastle.

Duties include

•  Measuring and cutting metals for door construction
•  Assist Welders
•  Paint and prep plates, guides, etc...
•  Complete basic assembly tasks.
•  Assembly and dismantling of racking
•  Wrap door parts in preparation for despatch .
•  Construct wood pallets as per instruction.
•  Move materials in accordance with safe manual handling standards
•  Use a Counterbalance FLT
•  Keeping site tidy and safe
•  Loading, lifting and tidy up of stores area
• General tidy up of metal products both in yard and factory site
• General labouring tasks detailed by the Production Controller.
•  Sorting and packing goods in a factory yard
•  Working both inside and outside
•  Helping as a floater where and when required in the site within manufacturing areas

The person

•  Must be happy working inside and outside in a factory yard
•  Have Labouring experience in a similar environment - please note that this is a factory environment and not a construction site
•  Have previous measuring and cutting experience in particular with   metals
•  Be able to lift and load
•  Ideally hold a Counterbalance Forklift licence
•  Be able to work unsupervised
•  Be able to work on own initiative

This role will be permanent for the right person after a short probation period
