As a SHE Engineer (Health & Safety Advisor / SHEQ Engineer with H&S bias) within a manufacturing plant you will be a key member of the Health & Safety team responsible for maintaining and improving health, safety, quality and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively promote and manage safety ensuring that all teams and production processes adhere to SHE standards and drive forward safety culture.
• Liaise with production and management teams ensuring that QHSE align with company products and services whist meeting customer expectations.
• Actively lead in accident and near miss investigations implementing preventative measures.
• Provide inhouse training on a variety of SHE-QA related topics that is relatable to all staff. 
• Conduct Risk Assessments and ensure the site COSHH system is fully implemented.
• Manage documentation updates for Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure safe and efficient production, in line with environmental standards.

• Assist in maintaining SHE-QA functions to ISO9001, ISO14001 ISO45001 & EN1090 external audits.
• Support waste management processes and ensure waste is correctly labelled and collected.
• Administration and support towards ongoing health screening of the workforce including occupational health checks, vibration monitoring, prescription eyewear etc

We’re extremely keen to talk to HSE / SHEQ / QHSE / Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Advisors, SHE Engineers or Safety professionals that have:

• Knowledge of the Manufacturing industry
• Qualified to NEBOSH or similar standards
• Practical experience of implementing SHE systems, performing risk assessments, producing safe systems of work etc.
• You will have the ability to communicate effectively and conduct effective training whilst working independently and as part of a team, multitask and make sound business decisions and recommendations.
• Desirable working knowledge of ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and ISO45001.
