Hours: Part-time (Wednesday-Friday)

Duration: 3 months (April- July 2024)

An opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Primary School Teacher in one of our partner schools. The role will be on a part-time basis and will last for the whole summer term. The role will involve teaching a Year 5 class, following the National Curriculum, and will involve all aspects of teaching and learning, including marking and preparation. If you are an experienced Primary School Teacher looking for a temporary role in a local school with a lovely atmosphere, we'd love to hear from you.

The position will be to cover maternity absence in a small, one-form entry, primary school with an Ofsted 'Good' rating. Applicants with rich and varied teaching experience are encouraged to apply for this role, particularly those with significant experience in teaching at KS2 level. The school has a lovely, warm atmosphere, and will ensure a fantastic working environment for a qualified teacher who is looking for work until the end of the academic year. Making a positive impression in the school will also secure you an interview if any permanent positions appear throughout the rest of the year.

As a Year 5 Class Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning lessons that are engaging and implementing strategies for progression.
  • Creating a safe and engaging learning environment for all students.
  • Differentiating resources to provide appropriate challenge and support.
  • Be aware of individual learning needs and tailor teaching to suit the needs of pupils with SEN.
  • Monitoring assessments, marking and feedback for a Year 5 class.

A Year 5 Class Teacher at Team Educate will be offered:

  • A competitive daily pay rate of £130- £180 depending on experience.
  • An enjoyable working environment and support from a team of experienced teaching staff.
  • An experienced consultant to support and encourage you throughout your employment.
  • Opportunities to lead a phase or subject, especially for those with experience in middle leadership.
  • The opportunity to secure a permanent contract with the school, should any vacancies arise.

The successful Primary Teacher will need:

  • A fully enhanced DBS or willingness to start an application
  • Qualified Teacher Status and at least 1 year of full-time teaching experience.

If you are interested in the above opportunity, or would like some more information about the role or the school, please submit your CV and one of our team will be in touch to help. We look forward to hearing from you!
