I am working with a large M&E contractor who specialises in large commercial projects and they need a Mechanical Site Manager or Senior Site Manager.

This person will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating mechanical engineering projects on construction sites. This role involves managing various mechanical systems such as HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, and fire protection systems to ensure they are installed and function correctly according to design specifications and safety standards. Below are some of the key responsibilities, qualifications, and skills required for a Mechanical Site Manager:

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of mechanical installations.
  2. Resource Management: Allocate resources, including labour, materials, and equipment, efficiently to meet project deadlines.
  3. Quality Control: Monitor and inspect mechanical installations to ensure they meet design specifications and industry standards.
  4. Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all site personnel.
  5. Coordination: Coordinate with other site managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other project components.
  6. Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the installation process.
  7. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of project progress, inspections, and any changes to the design or schedule.
  8. Budget Management: Monitor project expenditures to ensure they remain within the allocated budget.
