As a Platform Engineer you will be expected to:

• Provide full life-cycle support to the internal Kubernetes platform, including provisioning and upgrading.
• Develop tools and automation to manage the platform infrastructure and services life-cycle.
• Improve reliability, improve quality, and reduce the time to perform IT changes.
• Provide operational support and consultancy for multiple software development teams.
• Measure and optimize system performance and resource utilization, and plan for future capacity.
• Gather and analyze metrics from cluster components to assist in fault finding.
• Balance feature fast-release and reliability.

And you MUST have the following:

• Knowledge with practical hands-on experience of container and Kubernetes production support and it's ecosystems.
• Linux, Containerisation, Kubernetes (Anthos preferred) and Kubernetes components like Istio, NGINX, Portworx (software-defined storage PVCs), ACM.
• Engineering skills to manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC), using shell languages like Bash, Python, or Golang, and GitOps.
• Experience with infrastructure support and operation automation following software life cycle practice.
• Good written, oral, and reading in English.

This is a hybrid role, based in Central London, 2 days per week.

Salary is open to negotiation but above market rate and DOE.
