Sourcing and Product Development Manager
£50,000 - £70,000 depending on experience (negotiable)

Our client is a renowned provider of specialist pressure care solutions aimed at enhancing patient care in various healthcare settings, including care homes, hospices, NHS hospitals, and community care providers. Their innovative range of products includes mattresses, beds, seating, and bariatric equipment, along with comprehensive services such as equipment rental, maintenance, decontamination, and clinical training. The company are now looking to recruit an experienced Product Development Manager who will be key in the successful launch of new products in to the healthcare sector which has a focus on quality, compliance and ISO standards.
[ The role ]
- Leading and project managing the entire product development process from concept to market launch.
- Sourcing products from suppliers to ensure suitability
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for medical devices.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, and quality assurance to develop and enhance products.
- Conducting market research to identify new opportunities and improvements for existing products.
- Developing and maintaining product documentation, including technical files and submissions.
- Providing regulatory guidance and support to internal teams and external partners.
- Monitoring and interpreting regulatory changes to ensure company products remain compliant.
- Managing product lifecycle and post-market surveillance activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field would be advantageous but not essential
- Extensive experience in product development and sourcing relevant products
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
