We are currently recruiting for a Portfolio Manager (Drywall) to join our Marketing team in Sittingbourne, Kent.

In a nutshell...

The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the strategic direction and P&L improvement of the Knauf's portfolio of products. With the use of customer and market insights, determine customer requirements, unmet needs and opportunities, and turn these into clear propositions that will allow Knauf to meet their strategy to win in specification.

The Portfolio Manager will:

  • Ensure a clear understanding of sector performance requirements and how this varies across different construction types
  • Assess and analyse competitor portfolios, to understand impact and trade-offs of Knauf systems versus their direct alternatives
  • Use of insights to develop category/product strategy aligned to the business goals and ambitions
  • Highly commercial in the proposition development, linking back to the overarching Knauf strategy
  • Analysis of own portfolio by customer, sector, and KPIs
  • Complete product lifecycle management for portfolio; cradle to grave approach (NPD, repositioning, extensions, go or grow), with robust go-to-market strategy, including commercial programs to deliver to agreed KPIs
  • For those opportunities identified in market and customer analysis, define the proposition and deliver to the business strategy and plan of action.
  • Deliver the annual range review for your product categories.
  • Set, manage and review product KPIs and recommend and implement corrective measures were required to keep the business on track to achieve its budget within the categories/product portfolio you hold responsibility for.
  • Work with the whole Marketing Team to execute with brilliance in the market, ensuring post evaluation to improve future campaigns & programs
  • Ensure robust control of document versions, in line with CCPI principles, managed through EPIM, and our Document Management System.

Requirements:

  • CIM Marketing or business qualification
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Commercial & analytical, with experience of working within the construction sector
  • Track record in delivering growth and profitability across a product category
  • Proven record of bringing new products to market
  • Experience of working cross functionally in project management and delivery
  • Highly commercial with the ability to manage budgets and calculate ROI
  • Relationship builder & confident networker
