gap construction are proud to be representing this market leading, family owned main contractor in their search for a distinguished Bid Writer to join a successful and dynamic team. Our client has moved from strength to strength in recent years, doubling their turnover from 15 to 30 million in the last 3 years. They are provide specialist refurbishment services to the public sector, mainly in the Health, Education, Blue light & Leisure sectors.

Performance Objectives

• Main focus is writing and preparing responses to the 'quality' element of tender submissions, which for our client can be the difference between winning or losing a project.
• Prepare written responses to the quality element of tender submissions and maintaing case studies & bid library content
• Maintain framework / Constructionline portal content.
• Prepare awards submissions.

Person Specification

• Understanding of the construction industry tender process
• Experience in construction sector bid writing.

• Demonstrably strong writing skills
• Ability to prioritise workload when constrained by tight deadlines, calm under pressure.
• Confidence to delegate and communicate effectively with all departments.
• Ability to project manage a number of bids in an organised and controlled manner.
• A flexible approach with a problem-solving, creative mindset
• Experienced user of MS Office software, particularly Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Experience of Adobe InDesign (Desirable)
• Our client will provide training opportunities both internally and externally, with a view for our writers to become APMP accredited should they wish.
