Senior Service Designer - £650 -£700 per day - Inside IR35 - Hybrid working, 2 days a week on site near Slough - 6 Months initial contract.

My client, a leading supplier to the Nuclear energy industry, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Service Designer with a strong background in ITIL service management to join their Digital Workplace Programme. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and developing service management processes that align with the ITIL framework, ensuring their IT services meet business needs in a cost-effective, resilient, and reliable manner.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design IT services in accordance with ITIL guidelines for the Digital Workplace Programme.
  • Collaborate with IT architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive approach to service design.
  • Develop a modern workplace service that empowers colleagues while maintaining appropriate oversight and compliance in a highly regulated, multi-national environment.
  • Create service offerings that enable advanced colleagues to self-empower while providing robust support for those needing basic assistance.
  • Develop and refine service management processes and procedures to enhance service delivery and support.
  • Ensure that services are accessible and inclusive, adhering to best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct evaluations of service designs and recommend improvements.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions on ITIL service design practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of service design processes.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT service design with a strong understanding of the ITIL framework.
  • ITIL certification (preferably at the Intermediate or Expert level).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with service management software and tools.


Preferred Skills:

  • Significant experience in modern workplace colleague experience within a Microsoft and ServiceNow environment.
  • Experience in designing services for cloud-based environments.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and their application in service design.
  • Experience in implementing effective evergreen processes to gain competitive advantage.
  • Proven track record in implementing consumer-style services to achieve a responsive, low-friction, high-impact service experience.
