Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are searching for a Construction Support Engineer to join a reputable Engineering Consultancy on a long-term contract basis.

If selected, you will be required to attend the Aylesbury office 3 times per week to work on a range of Structural projects.

As the successful Construction Support Engineer, you will provide technical support and expertise throughout the construction stage of the project whilst working closely with Project Managers and Site Teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for Contractors about Structural issues
  • Review construction Products and Materials Approvals Form for structures (PMAFs)
  • Assist in responding to Field Change Requests (FCR)
  • Reviewing of fabrication details and shop drawings for structures
  • Producing As-built records of structures assets
  • Assist in monitoring that all Site-based staff and Site visitors have been trained and inducted prior to working

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in Structural Engineering
  • Good coordination skills
  • A Chartered Engineer status or working towards Chartership is preferred
  • 7 years' experience in design development, structural analysis and implementation of structural solutions
  • Interpersonal and team-building skills
  • Previous experience working on major rail projects or other linear projects of similar nature
  • Experience in the design of bridges, viaducts and heavy civil works
  • Working knowledge of Structural/Bridge analysis software programmes like, ROBOT, Civils 3D and Revit
  • Excellent decision-making skills
