Location: Warwick, Bristol or Castle Donington/Hybrid (three days per week in the office initially, 2 days afterwards)

Our client, a leading organisation in the energy sector, is seeking a Buying Administrator to join their team on an initial 6-month contract. With the energy transition at the forefront, our client is driving change in the way they procure goods and services for their National Grid Electricity Distribution business. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in new teams and have a passion for problem-solving.

About the role:

As a Buying Administrator, you will have the chance to work closely with experienced Category Managers and play a pivotal role in supporting their efforts. Your responsibilities will include being the primary interface between Category Managers and business buyers, resolving queries, managing communication channels, and updating the buying system. You will have significant responsibilities within the team, including access to the buying system, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on the procurement process.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact between Category Managers and business buyers
  • Respond to emails and system queries, ensuring they are routed to the appropriate team member
  • Track and monitor responses, ensuring queries are resolved in a timely manner
  • Review and address purchase order queries and issues
  • Update fields in the buying system to support buyers
  • Investigate and resolve queries in the buying systems on behalf of users
