Cover Supervisor

Salary Scale: £85 to £115 per day

GSL Education are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors for secondary schools in Sheffield. The role involves managing classrooms and ensuring that pre-set work is completed without the teacher.

Job Summary:

• Supervise classes and ensure students remain on task with the work they have been set.
• Manage classroom behavior and uphold school rules.
• Respond to any questions from students about process and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the classroom resources are utilized effectively.
• Maintain a calm and focused classroom environment.
• Report back as appropriate using the school's agreed referral procedures on the behavior of pupils during the class, and any issues arising.

Qualifications:

• Experience in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.

Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
