Electrical Project Manager

We are looking for an Electrical Project Manager to work on Data Centre projects in Slough and London.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, drive and encourage site team.
- Effectively assist in the design and construction management of projects, including procurement; design; planning; workflows; stakeholder management; risk assessment; commissioning; and handover
- Attend client meetings to develop and nurture new business with both new and existing clients.
- Prepare project plans to include costing and writing quotations. Outlining timescales, costs and resources needed to design and deliver an electrical operations project
- Financial management of projects and working to budgets.
- Resource planning, including engineering resource, and delivering multiple time-bound projects within budget
- Pre-construction - procurement of subcontractors, materials, and plant. Cost estimating and Management of competitive procurement and product selection.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify financial and implementation improvements.
- Carry out all works in compliance with statutory regulations, current industry standards, company quality and health and safety assurance procedures, including ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 Quality, Environmental and OH&S procedures.
- Directly manage the externally contracted and directly employed resources
- Review all technical documentation received from customers and make quick suitability assessments, issuing technical submittals for client approval; overseeing all design fundamentals in pre-construction phase; Issuing RFI's, TIDP, meeting minutes, schedules, and programmes; Review construction drawing:
- Drive the labour workforce on site to achieve the programme
- Input to the Contracts Manager & Head of Operations during development of construction programme.
- Provide technical support to Contract and Directly Employed Delivery Team.
- Ensure that all relevant documentation and certification are complete correctly. (EIC/EICR)
- Adhere to Construction Design and Management regulations (CDM 2015)
- Ensure Health & Safety regulations are observed throughout.
- Carry out project administration-progress reports and laise with supervisor where required to report on progress. Sharing regular progress reports with the client and stakeholders.
- Compliance with department wide filing
- Liaison with Clients / Customers to offer best solutions to site requirements.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree in relevant discipline or equivalent timed served experience
- Member of Electrical Engineering Professional Body i.e., JIB / ECS (Gold Card) or equivalent CSCS / IET
- Health & Safety qualification – CITB Site Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
Skills & Knowledge
- Full understanding of electrical engineering previous experience within an ideally commercial environment.
- Previous leadership skills and experience in an Electrical Contracting / Construction environment.
- Organisational skills for ensuring multiple building projects are completed on time and on budget
- Leadership skills for motivating workers and maintaining positive and safe work environments.
- Understanding of the Construction Design and Management (CDM) 2015 Regulations & Common Safety Method (CSM) 2013 Regulations, specifically the designer's requirements.
- Great attention to detail for effective safety and construction work checks. H&S knowledge and experience within electrical installation projects (RAMS / SHEQ /CDM).
Rate: £350 - £400 P.D (DOE)
