EMBS Engineering is exclusively recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a precision engineering company located in North Nottingham, working on a permanent basis.

Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Quality Lead in managing daily QA/QC activities, including reviewing and correcting manufacturing and compliance records to ensure error-free documentation packs for customers
  • Proactively identify and address quality non-compliance issues at their root cause, collaborating with production, engineering, and planning teams for resolution
  • Lead daily efforts to reduce Cost of Non-Quality (COPQ) and rework, reporting via SQCDP boards to senior management.
  • Ensure over 98% on-time completion of WIP movement, process contract reviews, and quality reviews.



Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:

  • 3+ years proven experience working as a Quality Engineer / Quality Control / Quality Assurance within a precision engineering environment
  • Understanding of basic core quality tools - PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA (desirable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of Problem Solving and RCCA
  • Internal Auditor qualification would be advantageous
  • Experience of maintaining, improving and developing QMS'
  • Ability to work off own initiative in a fast paced, ever changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
