As the Supported Lodgings Worker you'll be there for young people who need you most.

This role is about giving young people a safe and inclusive home and help to achieve their potential, transition into independent living, and engage in employment or education.

The project is based in the Carmarthenshire area...and will cover a patch, so driving is essential.

What will you do?

• You'll engage with young people from all backgrounds, experiencing homelessness in one form or another.
• Match young people with suitable supported lodgings providers.
• Travel to meet the individuals on your caseload; either in their own home or in the home of a family who has taken them in.
• Support young people to move forward in all aspects of their lives.
• Work with the families who have engaged with the project.
• Keep accurate records, evaluate and review progress.
• Report and record any and all safeguarding concerns in the correct manner.
• Liaise with other services and agencies (social services, local authority etc.)

What do we need?

• Someone with youth work, support work, education or similar experience.
• A person who has worked with young people with complex needs, and understand ACE's / trauma.
• Social housing experience would be a big plus (but not essential).
• A full drivers licence and access to a car is essential.
• Hold a DBS on the update service, or willing to complete a new enhanced DBS check.
• Someone who is caring, compassionate and non-judgemental.
• An individual who wants to see the best for young people experiencing homelessness.
