Trainee IT Support Engineer

Location: Glasgow. G33 4EN
Starting Salary: IRO £18-21k + Benefits.
Contract: Full time, Permanent

Red Mosquito are IT support specialists and managed service providers based at our Operations Centre in Glasgow and in Edinburgh. We're in the business of providing top quality IT services driven by our passion for technology. Our team of experienced engineers operates throughout Scotland doing the technical stuff so that our customers IT systems run efficiently and seamlessly.

Our Service Desk team delivers technical support and consultancy to SMEs throughout Scotland, assisting with infrastructure, hardware and software issues.  Our high quality support is delivered via phone, remote access and on-site.  We are looking to expand our team with a skilled and enthusiastic trainee who will have develop an integral role within the team.  The successful candidate will be interested in developing a career in IT Consultancy and will demonstrate excellent customer service skills alongside an aptitude for learning different applications and systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•  Daily maintenance and monitoring of key systems
•  Imaging and preconfiguring desktops and laptops
•  Completing internal auditing, processing new equipment and repairs

You will support our Service Desk Team:

•  To provide technical support across a broad range of customers and ICT technologies.
•  To maintain a high degree of customer service for all IT support incidents and projects.
•  To accurately update/maintain our ticketing system, documentation and Service Level Agreements.

Preferred Qualifications:

•  Ideally HND or Degree in IT
•  Relevant Microsoft / Industry accreditation would be beneficial.
•  Current UK Driving Licence and own car preferred.
