Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a well-established supplier of specialist sporting/hobby equipment, distributing well-known consumer brands throughout the UK and Europe.

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team during this exciting period of growth for the company.

This role would suit an ambitious, organised individual who has previous exposure to working in a small finance team and is looking to progress towards becoming a qualified management accountant in the future. 

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the purchase ledger from receipt of invoice through to settlement. 
• First point of contact for supplier queries. 
• Ensure all supplier account and bank details are accurate and up to date. 
• Complete weekly supplier payment runs. 
• Provide cash requirement forecasts for future payment runs. 
• Maintain a tidy ledger, ensuring all payments are allocated against the relevant invoices. 
• Keep a schedule of payments to stock suppliers (multiple currencies). 

• Assist with month end process. 
• Liaise with company credit card holders to ensure receipts are submitted and authorised in line with requirements and company policy. 
• Processing Returns/Credit Notes. 
• Process end of day invoicing and circulate reports. 
• Payroll & Holiday request cover. 
• Cashflow support.
