GMP Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client in Droitwich for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join a successful business who specialise within recovery vehicle manufacturing.
This position is working Monday -Friday 07:30am -16:00pm offering up to £17 per hour – which is pending relevant experience. Overtime is also available.
To be considered you must be able to demonstrate MIG Welding/fabricating to a high standard, with access to your own tools.
Job Requirements:
- MIG Weld/fabricate to a high standard (heavy up to 20mm gauge)
- Accurately work from and interpret detailed drawings
- Ideally have experience in; plasma cutting, oxy acetylene cutting and manual press brake operations.
- Vast experience with hand tools (grinders & drills)
- Ability to work on their own initiative and problem solve
- Able to adhere to PPE standards
- Maintain a safe working environment, always keeping areas clear of debris and hazards and ensuring housekeeping standards are at an acceptable level, recognising potential/actual hazards and taking corrective actions to minimize accidents.
Experience required:
- Welder/Fabricator: 4 years (required)
- Working with commercial vehicles (desirable)
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to work well as part of a team and under your own initiative when required
- Well organised with excellent time management
- Demonstrate a desire for self-improvement and enthusiasm
- Ability to interpret and work from drawings.
