Position: Freight Forwarding Key Account Manager

Location: Wythenshawe, Manchester

Salary: up to £35,000

We seek a Freight Forwarding Key Account Manager to join the Wholesale Commercial team, to be a single point of contact from the initial enquiry through to quotations, bookings, delivery and aftercare. You will also work closely with the Business Development Team to ensure clients are won and retained with the primary objective of delivering year-on-year growth.

This role is very much about building customer relationships and being a focal contact for the business.

Your key responsibilities as a Freight Forwarding Key Account Manager:

• Provide an exceptional level of service to all customers.
• Customer retention and relations building
• Achieve profit growth through effective commercial management of new and existing accounts.
• Maximise all revenue opportunities from existing accounts by pro-actively pursuing underdeveloped areas.
• Follow the company sales policies and procedures.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports in a timely fashion.
• Both provide and record timely, accurate, competitive pricing while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new services.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in either a Key Accounts role, Operations or BDM role
• Experience within a UK commercial role
• Working knowledge of International freight forwarding industry
• Highly credible, mature individual with strong communication skills and the ability to negotiate at all levels.
• Proven ability of creating long-term relationships with key decision makers.
