The Deeley group of companies brings forward high-quality developments across the property industry, including new homes, commercial and healthcare buildings.

We are looking for an individual with a passion for PR and marketing to join our team on a fixed term basis for 12 months. In this role you will work on your own initiative to drive forward our PR and Marketing strategy.

This is a full time, maternity cover position (fixed term contract of 12 months), Monday to Friday 8.30am until 5.15pm, based in Coventry.

Your new role

In this exciting role you will have the opportunity work on a number of different projects and with different people across the business. You will be given targets by the Business Development Manager and Deeley Group board of Directors to help deliver our strategic objectives, including:

  • Providing marketing support to the Group and ensure our external company profile appearance is in line with our company values and missions statement.
  • Providing PR support to the Group to promote the good news that the company has produced across social media and traditional media outlets.

Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring our website is kept up to date.
  • Creating social media and PR strategies and creating exciting content.
  • Producing case studies, photography and videos of our developments and completed projects.
  • Community liaison including coordinating work experience and school site visits and liaising with local community groups and charities.
  • Ensuring our corporate image on our construction sites reflects our branding guidelines and creates a positive image of construction.
  • Working with the team to write entries for community and sector awards.
  • Support in the communication of our ISO 45001 Health & Safety Management system, liaising with the H&S Manager to develop communications and artwork to support this.
  • In liaison with our external PR Agency compile ‘Deeley Digest’ our external newsletter on a quarterly basis.
  • Work with our PR Agency to drive forward PR stories which will have a positive impact on the business.
  • Compile our internal newsletter ‘Deeley Insite’ on a quarterly basis.
  • Create a one-page document per project which will treat each project as a mini-campaign with its own associated PR plan.
  • Manage events internally and externally by compiling presentations, managing invite lists, attending events.
  • Supporting the Deeley Group Charity.
  • Maximising our coverage as we undertake our Net Zero Carbon journey.
  • Actively engage in our “Make Work Better” working group to deliver initiatives in Mental Health, Diversity & Equality.
  • Represent the company at various industry specific webinars and conferences.
  • Conduct internal and external interviews to be shared externally.
  • Be a brand ambassador of Deeley Group, actively promoting and talking about your work.

Skills and experience you will need

This role is ideally suited to either a graduate or someone who wants to develop their skills and experience in a PR and Marketing function.

You will need:

  • A relevant degree or relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Confidence to work on your own initiative.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of social media across all platforms.
  • Strong photography and video editing skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and to deadlines.
  • Good organisation skills and ability to respond and be flexible to the needs of different people.
  • Ability to develop relationships both within the business and externally with clients and contacts.
  • Ability to conduct meaningful, interesting and organised interviews.
  • Strong research skills.
