Sewell Wallis are partnering with a very prestigious financial services company, as they look to add a Credit Controller on a temporary basis to their team.

This role has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

What will you be doing?

  • Proactively contacting clients and internal contacts for prompt collection or resolution of aged queries.
  • Driving cash flow and debtor day targets by strong portfolio management and relationship building.
  • Working with relevant internal contacts, clients and the revenue team to achieve the firm's KPI's, and resolving customer receivable issues / disputes / claims.
  • Posting cash receipts to the system on a daily basis.
  • Allocation of cash to invoices.
  • Propose write off of irrecoverable monies.
  • Providing ad-hoc reporting as and when requested.
  • Undertake account reconciliations as required.
  • Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met as required.
  • Send out monthly client statements/letters.
  • Risk management, routinely running credit checks on our clients.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Experience of working in a busy credit control dept
  • Ability to work under pressure on collection days
  • Familiar with accounts procedures, client ledgers, disbursements and office accounts
  • Possess a good understanding of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word & Outlook
  • High standard of numeracy, accuracy with attention to detail
