A busy fast paced and interesting company that deal with some of the world’s leading brands are looking for a passionate, bright, and switched-on individual to join their team.

You will be based in the office in Harpenden; therefore, your own transport would be advantageous; free parking is offered.

You will be working in a friendly and buzzy office which is open plan and offers a relaxed environment. They offer excellent training and a supportive environment. This is a varied and interesting role where no day will be the same and offers the opportunity to progress into an account management role in the future.

This role will suit candidates looking for their first office-based role, with customer service skills looking for the next step. You will be comfortable working with numbers and have an excellent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Account Managers with looking after their customer base
  • Managing all sales and purchase processes by using our bespoke database
  • Importing and Exporting goods from and to UK, including - working out delivery schedules, including pallet sizes, costs etc
  • Look after clients’ requirements with an enthusiastic and helpful approach
  • Sourcing suitable products from world-wide
  • Ability to build strong negotiation skills to network with all stakeholders of the business, internally and externally
  • Manage samples, shipments and deliveries to a given delivery, packing and palletisation criteria provided by clients

Person Specific

  • Educated to ‘A’ Level or equivalent
  • Enthusiastic, positive approach with good communication skills
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and numeracy skills (able to calculate delivery costs, pallet sizes and aware of margins)
  • Excellent Customer service and telephone manner
  • Good problem solver with a common sense and proactive ‘can do’ attitude at all times
  • Shows passion for learning about products and how they are made
  • Good accuracy and eye for detail
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programmes
