Psychotherapist

I am looking for an experienced Psychotherapist to work for a family-owned business who have 6 residential homes for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties in the Midlands and are currently undergoing an expansion programme.

They need a psychotherapist with experience working with looked-after children and ideally experience in residential care or in-patient CAMHS.

In this role you will:

• Provide 1 to 1 therapy for our young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
• Develop formations for the children to guide further assessment and prioritise intervention
• Evaluate and make decisions about interventions based upon the exhibited behaviours, risk assessments, and evidence-based research
• Work directly with the children providing a highly specialist service.
• Provide regular therapeutic consultation and guidance to staff
• Provide teaching and training to staff around attachment, trauma, mental health, PACE and therapeutic parenting
• Actively contribute to care plans in order to provide co-ordinated care
• Attend clinical supervision in line with BACP/UKCP guidance on clinical supervision

For this role you must have:

• Highly developed communication skills (both verbally and written)
• The ability to communicate highly complex, sensitive information to children, families, and other professionals
• Experience of working with children, young people, and their families
• HCPC Registration Doctorate or equivalent qualification in psychotherapy and experience in assessment, intervention, and management
• The role will involve travel between homes and regions, so you must hold a driving license and have a vehicle
