QA Operator - Irvine

A vacancy has arisen within our clients Quality Assurance Team for a QA Operator. 

This is for a 1 year fixed term to cover maternity (could potentially lead to full time). 

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday (6am-4pm)

Working hours will be based on a 24/7 Continental Pattern (Shift rota is 2-2, 3-2, 2-3)

Salary: of £13.84 per hour. £28,865 per year. 

Job Purpose: This role is responsible for assisting in the sampling and checking of incoming goods, in-process material and finished products. 

Duties will involve:

• Sampling and Testing of daily incoming goods and in-process materials to assure product quality.
• Recording and labelling of all sampled goods. 
• Checking certificates of conformity from suppliers. 
• Reporting non-conformances where applicable. 
• Supporting the general duties of the labratory. 
• Perform routing end of line quality inspections. 
• Routine calibration checks. 
• Supporting seal samples. 
• Release of components and ingredients to Good Stock. 
• Ensure all operating areas and equipment are maintained to the required levels of GMP and cleanliness. 
• Ensure all health and safety and environmental standards are maintained. 

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities: 

• Supporting the Quality System and the continual improvement philosophy. 
• Take responsibility for personal and team safety with particular focus on PPE and safety systems. 
• Contribute to all team processes and strive for continuous improvement in all areas of the operation. 
• Supporting other areas of the business when required. 

Key Competencies: 

• Previous experience in a quality assurance role is essential. 
• Good Level of written and spoken English. 
• Ability to work well alone and within a team. 
• Possess a strong work ethic accompanied by a flexible approach to tasks. 
• Motivated and target driven individual.
