CNC Operator

£13.20ph Corby, Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 5.00pm, Friday 8.00am - 1.00pm Permanent after successful temporary period, Immediate Start.

Our client has been established for over 40 years as a leading manufacturer of high-quality precision cutting equipment supplying the wide format printing and sign-making industry and picture framing industries.

Duties:

  • Daily activities include operating CNC mills and lathe to produce high quality components.
  • Take responsible for quality checks and final test to meet and ensure company standards are met
  • Undertake required daily total productive maintenance
  • Actively contributing to, and participating in, continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Housekeeping of work area, ensuring H&S regulations are always adhered to.
  • Assist colleagues in other areas as and when required by supporting the company's continuous improvement programme.
  • Undertake training as required.

The Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Good knowledge of Fanuc control systems and previous experience working with with Haas CNC's would be advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail, good eyesight with the ability to produce quality work.
  • Reliable and flexible approach to work, with a keen willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Mechanically minded with the ability to interpret technical/engineering drawings.
  • Have the ability to be able to work with multiple hand tools, pillar drills & belt driven sanders.
  • Able to manage own work and deliver on time.

We would expect the successful CNC Operator, to demonstrate previous experience in a similar production role. We are keen to hear from candidates who have worked within manufacturing and assembly, who have the ability to work as part of a quality focused team and work well to time deadlines, with training provided.

You will be reporting directly into the Operations Director.
