Here at School House Recruitment, we work closely with an increasing number of schools in Sheffield. We currently have a range of exciting full and part-time opportunities for Primary School Teaching Assistants. Some have immediate starts and some are from September, after the summer break.

Typical hours of work are 08.30am until 3.30pm, although we can let you know of any variations are  in advance.

Our ideal Primary School Teaching Assistants have a Level 2 and/or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, although recent classroom experience is just as important.  Excellent literacy and numeracy skills are essential. They are experts at making learning fun and easy for young children. They can see when children are struggling to understand new topics and are able to help them make sense of complicated ideas. They explain things in clear and simple language to keep children interested and fully engaged in the learning process.

Do You:

• Have a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Really love helping young children with their learning
• Have a good understanding of the current primary school national curriculum
• Know how to make the complicated easier to understand for pupils
• Want to enjoy the flexibility and work/life balance that supply work offers
