Category Technical Services Manager

Role Overview: We seek a skilled Category Technical Services Manager to lead Technical Services functions at a well-established food manufacturing company based in Leicester. This role ensures that systems are fit for purpose, accessible, and compliant with customer codes of practice, focusing on food safety, quality, and legality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Technical Services functions to ensure compliance and system effectiveness.
• Ensure all technical systems prioritize food safety, quality, and legality.
• Implement and maintain quality management and risk assessment for food safety.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and external contacts.
• Manage TACCP and VACCP plans for risk assessment.
• Ensure consistency in data and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with the Technical Manager on strategic business plans and objectives.

Ideal Candidate:

• Degree/HND in Food Science/Technology or a related subject.
• Extensive technical experience in a food manufacturing business.
• Experience with high/low-risk production, especially chilled/meat products.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with multiple retailers.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to handle complex situations professionally.
• Drive and energy to deliver results on time and manage costs effectively.
• A leadership style that promotes accountability and inspires high performance.
