Responsibilities:

As a Science Teacher, you will have the exciting opportunity to:

-          Deliver engaging and dynamic science lessons to students across KS3-KS4.

-          Create a stimulating and interactive learning environment that encourages student participation and inquiry.

-          Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.

-          Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to enhance student learning and understanding.

-          Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and collaboration.

-          Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest scientific research, teaching methodologies, and curriculum developments.

-          You may also feel the need to participate in extracurricular activities, such as science clubs, competitions, and field trips, to further enrich the learning experience for students.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you should meet the following requirements

-          Relevant teaching certification or qualifications (PGCE).

-          A bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.

-          Proven experience teaching Science at Secondary level in an educational institution.

-          Deep knowledge and understanding of the subject matter, curriculum standards, and assessment practices.

-          Ability to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students.

-          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.

-          Passion for science education and a commitment to fostering a love for the subject among students.

-          Flexibility and adaptability to embrace innovative teaching approaches and educational technologies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
