Stores Operator - Thurso
A vacancy has arisen within Site Services, FM and Estates Management for a Stores Operator.
About the Role
The purpose of the post is to provide a stores service. The job holder will be responsible for the receipt, storage and dispatch of site orders.
Key responsibilities:
* RIC Bay - Accept deliveries, scan, put into cages and deliver
* Bulk items for Stores to be delivered to Stores binned area
* Fuel Pumps - checking withdrawals and checking stock
* Assisting all other Logistic areas as and when required
* Escort deliveries.
* Maintain, issue and monitor stocks including stocktaking and gas cylinders.
* Operate within Safety Management Systems, i.e. Permit to Work, Standard Operating Procedures and SSOW.
* Interface with customers and answer enquiries.
* Operate ancillary equipment such as fork lift trucks and LGV's, etc.
* Undertake general housekeeping and cleanliness.
* Perform the responsibilities of Management Appointments relevant to the post.
Aptitudes, qualifications and experience
* Basic skills in numeracy and literacy
* Full UK Drivers Licence
