Electronics Design Engineer required to join leading supplier of electronic safety systems to the off-highway vehicle sector.

Our client is a leading developer of specialised Electronics Control systems for the off-highway and construction vehicles sector. They now seek an experienced, degree qualified Electronics Design Engineer to support their ever-growing market for safety related products. This is an exciting, multi-disciplined role offering diversity and variety in day-to-day activities.

About you and the Role:

Ideally educated to Degree level with relevant experience gained in a similar electronics development role, you will you will have a proven experience of mechanical and electronics testing of complex load-sensing and vehicle control systems.

You will be competent in the creation of PCB layouts using 3D CAD and some knowledge/experience in the use of C and C++ programming would be beneficial but is not mandatory.

You will be involved in new product development from the initial customer requirement stage and follow the development project through all stages to completion and manufacture.

You will work in collaboration with Senior Engineers as well as other team members at all levels including assembly/manufacturing teams.

You will also need to be familiar with writing technical documentation, including Test specifications, Test plans and technical reports as well as active participation in electronic and mechanical testing of products at all stages of the development process and following test procedures to defined specifications.

The ability to develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD would be beneficial but not essential.

You will be comfortable working in a small team with the ability to work independently and be a confident communicator with project stakeholders, customers and suppliers at all levels.
