Warehouse Operative

Location: Duxford, Cambridge

Salary: £32,500 - £34,500 per annum + 5% Bonus

Are you a dedicated and safety-conscious individual with a knack for efficiency? We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team in Duxford, Cambridge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficient Handling of Raw Materials: Offload and put away raw materials to maximise efficiency and minimise damage.
• Support Production Schedule: Pick and deliver raw materials and packaging to meet schedule adherence targets, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
• Material Flow Management: Collect and put away finished products to maintain an efficient flow of material.
• Forklift and Equipment Operation: Safely and accurately operate Forklift truck equipment and palletisers, spending approximately 60-70% of your time using this equipment.
• Safety and Reporting: Ensure that day-to-day work is carried out safely. Report and investigate all near misses, incidents, and accidents. Act as a safety role model and lookout for your peers.
• Dispatch and Delivery: Deliver the dispatch plan as set by the Plant Transport coordinators, ensuring OTIF (On Time In Full) targets are met.
• Inventory Management: Conduct required cycle-counts to meet targets on pick-accuracy, minimising production risks.
• 5S and Warehouse Organisation: Support the company in sustaining a ‘World Class’ approach to 5S and warehouse organisation.
