History teacher - Bolton - September start

Prospero Teaching are working with a large secondary school in Bolton who are seeking a History Teacher to work in their school as soon as possible on an ongoing basis from September until Easter 2025. The role will be full time. You will be required to deliver lessons that are engaging & that will challenge the classes and will be to teach classes in key stage 3 & 4 of varying academic abilities.

There is a large on site car park and there are excellent public transport links close by.

End date: Easter 2025

Minimum rate of pay: in line with your main pay scale

Hours: 8:15 am-4:00 pm (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified Teacher of History

Up to date knowledge of the National Curriculum

Teacher of History at key stage 3 & 4

Hold a valid & recognised teaching qualification

You will need to have taught in secondary schools either in a permanent or supply basis , the role is open to ECT's and more experienced teachers.

You will be required to commit to the role in it's entirety.

Possess an enhanced child barred list. DBS certificate registered with online update service or be willing to process a new application.

Provide a minimum of two professional child related references covering the last 2 years

Up to date safeguarding training issued in the last year ( essential, training can be provided)

Up to date prevent awareness & FGM training in the last 3 years ( essential, however, training can be provided)
