HGV Technician

Location: Kidderminster
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: 3 to 6 months and offering £18-£19 per hour PAYE (any 4&5 day working patterns apply from any 7 days)
Class1 Personnel are looking for an experienced HGV Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of HGV vehicles, as well as providing technical advice and guidance. The HGV Technician will need to have a comprehensive understanding of HGV mechanics, the ability to work independently and in a team environment, and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities for the HGV Technician
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on HGV vehicles.
- Carry out regular servicing and maintenance of HGV vehicles.
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles.
- Test and adjust vehicle components to ensure optimal performance.
- Keep accurate records of all work carried out.
- Provide technical advice to customers.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Essential
- City and Guilds Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair level 3 or equivalent qualification.
- LGV Class C driving licence
Desirable
- Up to date MOT testers qualification
- Vehicle inspection accreditation
- Operators CPC qualification
- Assessment and writing Risk assessments.
