The successful candidate will provide specialist psychological assessments, formulate treatment plans, and implement a range of psychological interventions for clients with complex mental health issues. You will work across in-patient and out-patient settings, offering expertise, advice, and consultation to other professionals and agencies.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct highly developed specialist psychological assessments, utilising a variety of data sources including neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, structured observations, and semi-structured interviews.
  • Develop and implement psychological treatment and management plans based on evidence-based practices and conceptual frameworks.
  • Deliver a range of psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families, and groups, adjusting formulations as necessary.
  • Make skilled evaluations and decisions regarding treatment options, considering theoretical and therapeutic models and complex historical and developmental factors.
  • Provide specialist psychological, neuropsychological, and neurobehavioural advice and consultation to other professionals, contributing to clinical formulations, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Ensure the provision of a theoretically credible system of positive behavioural management in compliance with the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and government guidelines on restrictive practices.
  • Offer a psychologically based framework for the understanding and care of clients through advice, consultation, and dissemination of psychological knowledge.
  • Facilitate effective psychological care by providing expert advice to clinical team members.
  • Adhere to clinical governance principles to ensure ethical and effective practice, with a focus on safeguarding and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and HCPC registered
  • Extensive experience in clinical neuropsychology
  • Proven track record of working in multi-disciplinary teams
