The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Herbicide Spray Technician with an in depth knowledge of invasive weed treatment. Based around the Manchester area, the role is mobile, provided with a van, IT and equipment to service a large existing client base.

Skills and Experience Required

Experienced herbicide/chemical treatment, Japanese knotweed and other invasive weeds.

An excellent focus on customer service.

Must hold NPTC card, category PA1 & PA6 and herbicide spraying certificate.

PCA Technician qualification would be highly desirable.

Other NPTC categories would also be preferable, stem injection and eco-plugging.

Adaptable and flexible approach to work and a drive to provide a quality output.

Good IT skills.

A full driving licence.

General Information

Working Mon-Fri, this role needs a great deal of focus on the client and the accuracy of the survey and site report to give our customers the best solution.

Using your existing knowledge, applying herbicide using a knapsack sprayer and an injection gun to Japanese knotweed and other invasive weeds at residential properties, commercial sites and some open areas of land. Based from your home address, you will be travelling and working on pre-booked activities and sites, visiting multiple locations in the day and must be willing to staying away on a regular basis. You will be provided with a works van, fuel card, a mobile phone and tablet. All IT equipment is supplied to enable you to communicate remotely onsite and deliver the information back quickly.

Ideally located in Manchester or nearby, as this role will be covering the surrounding areas.

Following established Standard Operating Procedures. Recording work carried out at each site using a web-based app on a tablet/mobile phone.

Occasionally working with others to carry out works on larger sites that may involve specific H&S protocols.

Salary and Benefits

Annual Salary £27,500 - £31,000 (Depending on experience).
