Job Title: CNC Setter / Operator
Location: Milton Keynes
Rate: £12 - £15 per hour depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:45 AM to 4:30 PM Friday: 07:45 AM to 3:30 PM

Summary of the Role: We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter / Operator for a manufacturing client based in Milton Keynes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC Mills and Lathes to manufacture components according to drawings and production plans. This role demands precision, technical expertise, and a proactive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set and operate CNC vertical and horizontal twin pallet mills and turning centres with live tooling using Fanuc control systems.
• Set and operate manual milling, turning, and grinding machines.
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet drawing specifications using measuring equipment.
• Complete production job documentation accurately.
• Handle and prepare raw materials for machining.
• Perform weekly and monthly fluid checks and machine maintenance.
• Adhere to all health and safety guideline

Key Skills:

• Proven ability to set/operate CNC Lathes and Milling Machines, including tooling setup.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings.
• Strong understanding of engineering tolerances.
• Skilled in using micrometers, verniers, and gauges for part inspection.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in setting and operating CNC Lathes and Mills with Fanuc controls.
• Relevant manufacturing engineering qualification.

Performance Measures:

• Percentage of non-conforming components produced.
• On-time delivery of components according to plan.
