To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for an Mechanical Engineer Night-Shift (PPM's) to come and our Ellistown site in Leicestershire LE67 1HY.

The successful candidate will be providing plant wide maintenance service, departmental support and mechanical repairs ensuring that all production targets are maintained. 

Our industry leading manufacturing business with an impressive growth plan, supported with large scale investment, and an existing established network of manufacturing facilities across the UK. With plans for investment at their Leicestershire factory, We are now seeking to appoint an Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team, with a salary of £50,755 - 5 on 5 off, 4 on 4 off, 5 on 5 off  nights shift pattern.

•            Salary of £50,755

•            Performance based bonus of 5%

•            TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT - Our client aims to operate to world-class standards and the successful candidate will be       required to commit to a focused programme of training and development which will include:

•            Upskilling and training

•            TPM Tools & Techniques inclusive of 5S principles

•            Asset care, RCM, TPM and CMMS training

•            Leadership and management training for those who are keen to progress their careers and demonstrate ambition

•            The ability to work a continental shift pattern covering – (5,4,5 shift pattern) nights

Key Responsibilities Include:

Promote the highest Health and Safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.

Utilise a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) to facilitate Planned Preventative Maintenance, Inspections, Service and Repairs

Carry out electrical maintenance and repairs to existing heavy machinery, potentially installing new plant.

Ensure rigorous application of continuous improvement tools and techniques across all areas of the manufacturing facility to optimise performance.

Work collaboratively across all support functions, by building effective working relationships, to optimise factory performance.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship to level 3 city and Guilds, NVQ etc

Time Served, Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering Maintenance (Mechanical), Engineering Manufacture (Mechanical), Mechatronics (Mechanical) or equivalent

Pneumatics, hydraulics, Conveyors, Gearboxes and industrial mechanical skills

Welding skills would be an advantage

High degree of Health & Safety awareness.

Ability to fault find, repair, and provide solutions to problems.

Maintenance experience and fault diagnosis of Pneumatics and Hydraulics systems

Knowledge of Welding / Basic Fabrication

Computer literate in MS Word and Excel

Knowledge of basic continuous improvement tools and techniques

Good knowledge of current Health and Safety Law and best practice application within a manufacturing environment
