Mechanical Fitter required in Chesterfield.

Mechanical Fitter Benefits:

• Location: Chesterfield
• Starting salary is circa £ 30,000.00 per annum plus overtime
• Working hours: 37.5 hours basic per week - 8am to 4pm plus overtime when required

Mechanical Fitter Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications for electro mechanical engineering services and electric motor rewinds
• Inspect and dismantle electric motors, gearboxes and pumps and identify faults
• Carry out mechanical repair and re-assemble
• Measure, cut, and shape materials according to specifications
• Assemble and fit components together using hand tools and power tools
• Weld or solder components together as needed
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or defects in the assembly process
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times

Mechanical Fitter Criteria:

• Mechanical Fitter experience, knowledge and understanding of assembly processes
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
• Experience with power tools such as drills, saws, and grinders
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve assembly issues
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
• Excellent communicator
• Ability to work as a team and alone
• Strong organisational and planning skills
