We are looking for a Portfolio Administrator to join our successful Ignite Energy team. 
 

Role and Responsibilities

Overview
The Portfolio Administrator is a support role, working within a Portfolio Team managing utility billing and finance reporting for our customers. It generally involves administration work, including entering utility billing onto our system as it’s received, carrying out basic checks, following up with utility suppliers on the phone, and assisting with project work where required. You will also assist with bill validation within our tailored system.

Responsibilities
The key areas of responsibility are:

Invoice Entry
1. Inputting utility billing into our system. There are many different formats, industry specific language and workings.
2. Carrying out specific checks on invoicing for billing errors.

Bill Validation
1. Processing utility billing
2. Performing or contributing to regular validation runs to identify whether billing contains errors and required challenging.
3. Submitting regular batches of validated invoices to the customer to pay.
4. Ensuring invoices are paid within terms, communicating remittance information to suppliers.
5. Supplier account management, liaising with suppliers to ensure payments are correctly allocated and debt positions are managed.
6. Resolving challenges and obtaining refunds/credits (savings), meeting a stated savings target to ensure the customer is saving at the anticipated level.
7. Analysing and querying historic billing to recover overcharging, including site investigations if necessary, delivering savings against target for contract income (shared savings).

Customer Service & Supplier Queries
1. Dealing with customer queries and requests in a professional and efficient manner.
2. Maintaining the portfolio based on information provided by the customer and other third parties.
3. Phoning or emailing utility suppliers with invoice queries.
4. Dealing with debt or late payment reminders through calls and emails.

Project and account support
1. Working on tasks to support service delivery to our customers as may be required.
2. Communicating with customers to obtain information as relevant to the task or service delivery.
3. Assisting with the management of new metering, including site scheduling.
4. Supporting with the maintenance and data collection of metering portfolio once up and running.
5. Adding/removing supplies from relevant MOP and DC contract.

Skills Required
Candidates for Portfolio Administrator are expected to:
› Have a mathematical and analytical skillset understanding for reporting.
› Have excellent communication skills for dealing with customers, contractors and other team members
› Be self-motivated and able to work autonomously
› Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel and computer literate
› Well-presented and professional
