Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Commissioning Engineer required to join a leading, global manufacturer of electromechanical products and services.

The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Commissioning Engineer will provide service, fault finding, troubleshooting and commissioning on electromechanical instrumentation and controls, natural gas products, pneumatic systems and other diagnosing and resolving issues related to system components, liquid handling, injection rates, and parameter changes at customer sites UK wide into various industries. 
 
The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Commissioning Engineer will ideally have strong hands-on experience with pneumatic systems, instrumentation, electromechanical systems, natural gas, hydrogen, electric motors, pumps, injection systems or similar within electromechanical engineering. Full product training provided.

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Commissioning Engineer Role
  • Oversee the commissioning and installation of Odorant Injection Systems, including tube fitting and system setup.
  • Fault Finding and Troubleshooting in electromechanical instrumentation and controls, panels, pneumatic systems associated with natural gas products.
  • Perform routine maintenance, system calibrations, and repairs on liquid handling components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide technical support to clients, including training on system operations and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Installing odorization systems and liquid sampling systems into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
  • Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various pneumatic & hydraulic equipment associated with natural gas products.
  • Identifying and providing the customer with improvements, upgrades, or general aftercare of natural gas / odorant products.
  • Field based covering UK wide. Visits to the office near Stoke to collect parts weekly.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Commissioning Engineer Requirements
  • Proven experience with commissioning, tube fitting, and system installations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with hands-on experience in diagnosing and resolving faults in electromechanical instrumentation, controls, panels, pneumatic systems is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in working with control panels, pneumatic systems, instrumentation, liquid handling or similar electromechaical systems. 
  • Ability to understand and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, able to advise clients on the drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues related to system components, injection rates, and parameter changes.
  • The ability in maintaining good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
  • A technical mechanical engineering, electrical, instrumentation qualification, Apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous.
  • Full UK driving license. Willingness to travel and stay away when required.
  • Part of the on call rota once fully trained. Overtime and call out rates apply.
  • Commutable to Stoke to collect parts throughout the week.
