GTS Transportation is currently seeking an Asset Engineer to join our client in London. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the asset portfolio including buildings, footbridges, canopies, and platforms.
  • Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget for building assets.
  • Oversee and deliver the Asbestos Management programme.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with safety, cost, programme, and quality requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to meet asset strategies.
  • Maintain asset registers and update shared drives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as Network Rail and London Underground.
  • Comply with procurement and financial governance processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Asset Engineer/Manager.
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with railway electrical systems and relevant hazards.
  • Proficiency in design software; AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and ability to manage multi-discipline projects.
  • Strong decision-making, leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Professional Registration with an accredited body or working towards registration.
  • BSc/BEng degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Personal Track Safety competence and SMSTS advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Network Rail Standards and operations.
