Finance Manager

Hybrid working with 1 day per week in Portsmouth, £60- £73k.

We are delighted to be supporting a global business with the recruitment of a Finance Manager for their Fixed and Lease Asset Accounting team. Working in the central accounting team this role will act as a key point of contact both internally and externally on all aspects of Fixed and Lease Asset accounting across the Group.

The role with include: 

• Managing a small team of Fixed and Lease Asset accountants.
• Oversight of the Group’s IFRS 16 BPC tool and associated accounting and the interface to ERP systems.
• Business partnering with lease asset stakeholders both internally and externally regarding the management and maintenance of ongoing leases.
• Central point of contact for Fixed and Lease Assets for businesses in the UK and play a coordination and support role with colleagues overseas as required.
• Working within the capital investment team in capital expenditure proposals, overseeing the process to full approval in a timely manner to enable the successful delivery of the capex portfolio.

About you:

We’re seeking a fully qualified Accountant with:

• Hands-on experience of managing and developing a team within a Finance function, ideally in a complex international business environment
• Strong experience in reviewing and improving finance processes with a fresh perspective.
• Technical finance skills would benefit, including ability to understand and interpret accounting principles such as IAS 16 Property, and Plant and Equipment and IFRS16 Lease Accounting.
• Demonstrates commercial awareness with a good understanding of the business environment including customers, competitors, etc.

1 day required on site per week, with some travel required to other UK sites occasionally.
