We are currently seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join the dynamic team at our automotive client's organisation. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our client's operations.

Responsibilities:

    • Working closely with branches and external customers to resolve queries
    • Liaising with branches and senior management regarding the payment performance of some accounts that may require assistance in collecting debt
    • Reviewing aged debt to minimise outstanding balances
    • Account reconciliation and query resolution
    • Dealing with a high volume of inbound and outbound calls with customers and branches
    • Communicating with customers via telephone, letter and e-mail
    • Creating and sending appropriate chasing letters to customers when necessary
    • Placing accounts on stop and taking accounts off stop at the appropriate times
    • Escalating any issues to regional credit managers or branch managers where necessary

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in credit control
  • Strong knowledge of credit control procedures, practises, and principles.
  • Proficient in using credit control systems and accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess creditworthiness and risk.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively deal with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • High level of attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
