W Talent are now partnering with a Fast Paced, Manufacturing company located in Chesterfield who are looking to hire an ambitious Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team. This position will be based on a continental shift pattern which will include days and night shifts with no Saturday night working. Candidates who are Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled are encouraged to apply.
Position Overview
My client located in Chesterfield, Derbyshire are part of a multinational group of companies which offers employees a long-term, stable employment with good progression opportunities. Due to internal promotion, my client is now seeking a Multi-Skilled, Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias but they would consider any Mechanical Engineers with some electrical understanding.
With two sites located within 5 minutes of each other you will be able to experience both old and new machinery, so you will be challenged daily. This role will include machinery upgrades, sourcing parts and daily reactive maintenance on fast paced, manufacturing machinery. There is significant investment and refurbishment planned for the Chesterfield site and an increase in production for the Markham Vale site.
Key Responsibilities
As the new Maintenance Engineer, you will be based at the Chesterfield manufacturing plant working a continental shift pattern including days and nights. Daily tasks will include carrying out planned and preventative maintenance, new machinery installations and identifying new improvements across the site, other duties include.
- Performing Planning Preventative Maintenance tasks.
- Adhering to all Health and Safety Guidelines.
- Working to tight deadlines.
- Able to assist with installation works.
- Working well within a small engineering team.
- Confident to work alone on breakdowns.
Key Requirements
To apply for the Maintenance Engineer position located in Chesterfield, Derbyshire within a Fast Paced, Manufacturing company you will have;
- NVQ, C&G or greater engineering qualification (ideally electrical bias).
- Experience working within a Manufacturing or FMCG organisation.
- Proven reactive maintenance experience, with some PPM knowledge.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- PLC Experience, would be advantageous but not essential.
What’s on Offer
In return for working a continental shift pattern you will earn a yearly salary of £40,000 to £55,000 plus company benefits and the chance to progress into a maintenance team leader position.
