I'm looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a leading Defence business at their manufacturing plant in Washington, Sunderland.

This is a rotating shift-based role of 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am with plenty of overtime available too.

What you'll be doing:

• Site maintenance and installation activities
• Minor/major repairs
• Breakdown response and diagnostics to resolve manufacturing equipment issues
• Support to contractors during technical works
• Attendance at site operational meetings as required
• Execution of work orders from the site CMMS
• Update of work order details to maintain the asset database for the site on all works performed

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Time served Electrical apprenticeship preferably with HNC/HND qualification
• 17th/18th edition Wiring Regulation qualification
• Manufacturing industry experience working to time pressure and performance metrics

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Safety Qualifications (e.g. IOSH, working at height, MEWP licence)

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will carry out a varied range of electrical activities that protect the Washington site and ensure capability for manufacturing teams to perform their duties. This will include planned maintenance, reactive breakdown response/repairs and work requests.
