Senior Mechanical Engineer required for a well-established manufacturer who are renowned and well respected in their industry. They are an employer who genuinely looks after their staff and invests in their people.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer role would suit mechanical engineers or mechanical fitters who are used to taking a mechanical lead or are the go to mechanical person on site. Engineers will ideally be time served, apprentice trained or equivalent.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical engineering activities for plant, production, and project requirements. You will work within a large state of the art manufacturing facility which has a wide range of heavy production machinery. You will prioritise developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance and reliability programs for the foundry as well as the identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost saving initiatives and overseeing preventative and corrective maintenance activities to minimise down time. The role is a 60/40 split of office-based activities and shop floor work. You will ideally be the Mechanical Technical expert onsite.

Senior Mechanical Engineer:
* Overseeing all mechanical engineering activities for plant, production, and project requirements.
* Developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance and reliability programs for the foundry.
* Scheduling and overseeing preventative and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
* Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost saving initiatives.
* Managing the mechanical engineering budget, spare parts inventory and identify cost saving opportunities
* 60/40 split between shop floor and office
* Monday to Friday. DAYS

Senior Mechanical Engineer:
* Engineers will ideally be time served, apprentice trained or equivalent.
* Must have a strong mechanical background
* Must transfer from a heavy/industrial manufacturing environment
* Previous experience in similar role.
